Lancome 24h Foundation - REVIEW NUMBER 2!
Foundation review number 2 of the month!
This was quite a spontaneous buy for me. I was out shopping with my Auntie and Mum in London and we were just browsing around all the beauty counters in John Lewis and I was watching one of the ladies that worked for Lancome applying this foundation on a customer. After standing their watching for about 10 minutes wishing I had her skin, I sat in the chair and asked the lady if she could test some on me.
I don’t believe in this love at first sight business with humans but with materialistic things, oh my god it was love at first sight. I purchased it straight away! I’m sure i’m not the only woman who discovers a foundation and its her new found love for the next month.
This foundation is honestly my favorite. The coverage is absolutely amazing, i’d say it was a full coverage foundation which I love. It gives you such a gorgeous silky finishes and honestly compliments every angle of your face.
Unfortunately, I have quite a pale complexion and what I thoroughly appreciate and adore about this foundation is that the color doesn’t act as pale as it seems. Personally, I don’t feel there is anything worse than being pale skinned and wearing a product that emphasizes that even more than it needs to be. The color match is incredible. And what’s more, I find that pale foundations seem to have this pinky/rose undertone to them that I cannot stand, and with this foundation it was perfectly balanced between an olive-like undertone which made it look all the more glowy and amazing.
The consistency of this foundation isn’t too thick and isn’t too lightweight. It’s very blend able and creamy. I find that with lightweight foundations, they seem to dry a lot quicker and you have to work a lot faster with them, and that they also don’t cover as much.
I somewhat prefer a dewy finish to my face after applying my base, therefor I did not use a setting powder with this particular foundation as I did not want to mattfiy it and the staying power was wonderful.
